Forum rules
Version 1
1. What this is
These are the rules of the ZMV Studio forum. By creating an account you agree to follow them. If you disagree with something here, you can still read the forum without an account.
2. Age
You must be 16 or older to register. We do not ask for your date of birth and do not store it: you confirm your age yourself when signing in. If a member turns out to be younger, we delete the account and everything tied to it.
3. How to sign in
Through Discord or Steam only. We hold no password. We receive your numeric id, nickname and avatar — nothing else. One account per person; a second one made to get around a block is blocked as well.
4. What you must not do
The list is closed and numbered: a blocking decision names the exact rule, so you have something to argue with.
- 4.1. Post anything the law forbids.
- 4.2. Threaten, harass or stalk.
- 4.3. Incite hatred by origin, faith, sex, orientation or health.
- 4.4. Post sexual material involving minors. We report this to the police immediately.
- 4.5. Send spam or advertising.
- 4.6. Impersonate someone, including studio staff.
- 4.7. Publish someone's private details without consent.
- 4.8. Share cheats, pirated links or malware.
- 4.9. Get around a block with a new account.
- 4.10. Offer your goods or services here.
5. What happens if you break them
The ladder is stated in advance. We start small and work up; rule 4.4 means an immediate permanent block.
- 5.1. A warning.
- 5.2. The message is hidden — in its place, with an explanation.
- 5.3. A temporary block with a stated end date.
- 5.4. A permanent block.
6. How moderation works
We read the first messages of new members before they appear. A message reported by three different members is automatically taken out of sight until checked — that is the only thing a machine does here. Every decision — hide, close, block — is made by a person and written down: what, when, by whom and under which rule.
7. What you write stays yours
You keep the copyright in what you write. You allow us to store, show and translate it on our site — including after you delete your account. Ideas, suggestions and problem reports we may use in our games without payment; they are not treated as confidential.
8. Our responsibility
A forum is a place for other people’s words, and those people answer for them. We remove forbidden material as soon as we learn of it: ordinary reports within two working days, threats to life and material involving minors immediately.
9. If you disagree with a decision
Write to us through the contact form, naming the topic or message. A different person reviews it, not the one who made the decision. You get an answer explaining it rule by rule.
10. Law and courts
The law of the State of Israel applies, and disputes go to the courts of Tel Aviv. If you are a consumer living in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, this does not take away the protection your own country’s law gives you, and you may go to a court where you live.
